About me

As a marine biologist and pollution researcher, I specialize in evaluating the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems. My work is dedicated to finding sustainable solutions to these pressing global problems. I am deeply passionate about using my expertise to drive positive change in the world.

Education

I have completed my doctoral studies at Tel Aviv University focusing  on the impact of marine plastic pollution on coral reefs. The study was conducted within the vibrant ecosystem of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea.

Throughout my doctoral work, I've specialized in plastic-associated chemicals and their impacts on coral-reef invertebrates and gained extensive hands-on experience with state-of-the-art analytical instruments to identify compounds even in minute concentrations within environmental samples.

Before my PhD, I earned a BSc in marine biotechnology and an MSc in ecology and environmental studies, providing me with a foundation in the biological and ecological aspects of marine science.

Qualifications

With a diverse array of qualifications spanning technical diving expertise to maritime licensing, I bring a comprehensive skill set to my work in marine biology and conservation.

Over two decades of diving worldwide, accredited by the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) as a Scientific Diver and certified by Scuba Schools International (SSI) as a Dive-Control Specialist. Moreover, as a TDI Decompression Procedures Diver, I am adept at navigating complex diving situations with confidence.

I hold an International Skipper License, and have sailed thousands of nautical miles, including transatlantic voyages. Whether underwater or on marine vessels, I am well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to marine research and conservation efforts.
